Be, Think, & Live Well.

Be, Think, & Live Well.

It begins with PURPOSE.

Is cultivated through CULTURE.

Solidified with PRACTICES.

And results in the CASCADIA GRADUATE.

Cascadia Preparatory Academy is a liberal arts high school whose purpose it is to raise up the next generation of Christian leaders. We teach our students to apply critical thinking and to grow in wisdom as they discover their place in the human experience. Along they way we allow our students to take personal responsibility for their education, seeking experiences that fill them with joy in learning. Throughout it all, we encourage them to step into lives of faith, character, and service, all for the glory of God.

Our culture is shaped by a deliberate emphasis on our interconnectedness and relationships. Every element of our shared life is approached with intentionality. Here are six core cultural behaviors we embrace: 1) Ask Insightful Questions, 2) Learn from Others, 3) Fail Forward, 4) Assume Positive Intent, 5) Strive for Balance, and 6) Act with Conviction and Compassion.

Cascadia's approach to teaching, learning, and learning environments is based on specific ideas. In particular, we believe that 1) Dynamic learning spaces promote discovery and learning; 2) Liberal Arts and Sciences are a window to the human experience and teach us about our connection to our Creator and the world around us; 3) Connection and relationships anchor our development; 4) Curiosity opens the door to learning; and 5) Service to others is foundational to our ability to find our place in Creation.

Every Cascadia graduate leaves our school having learned to be independent, free thinking humans, fully aware of their important role in God’s Kingdom. Having been taught to be, think, and live well, they enter adulthood as a disciple of Jesus, a confident Christian living as an example of God’s love, an individual who will lead by example, and make an impact in their community.
