Service Learning Program

At Cascadia, our Service Learning Program (SLP) is designed to teach students the value and importance of serving those in need. Inspired by the humble imagery of Jesus washing His disciples' feet in John 13, we encourage our students to serve with the same spirit of humility and grace.

This program runs throughout the school year, but students are also encouraged to engage in pre-approved projects and mission trips over the summer to fulfill the annual service requirement. Timberwolves are encouraged to volunteer in various capacities and with various organizations, including churches, non-profits, and local businesses. It’s especially exciting when they create their own projects to address specific needs in their communities.

The SLP is an integral part of Cascadia’s mission to foster a culture of being, thinking and living well. We believe that serving others is a foundational aspect of our mission, helping our students strive to be more like Jesus every day. As Jesus said in John 13:16-17, “Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” This challenge calls all followers of Jesus to serve others as He served.

Through the Service Learning Program, we aim to instill in our students the joy and grace of serving, encouraging them to pursue what is good, true, and beautiful in all their endeavors.
